About barrie photo club

Founded in 2007, the Barrie Photo Club is a non-profit club located in the area of Barrie, Ontario. Open to everyone, irrespective of their experience level, the club meets on a regular monthly basis on the last Thursday of each month.

With over 70 active members with a wide age range. Barrie Photo Club aims to create and maintain an active photographic community which supports members in their growth and development as photographers and provides varied opportunities for gaining new knowledge, skills, development, technical improvement, expansion of perspective, sharing of photographic art and enjoyment of the craft. Our club has varied monthly educational events that include speakers, outings, workshops and member presentations.

Membership

Membership fee's

$50 annually (single), $35 per additonal member from same family at the same address. This fee also applies if you join throughout the year.

The fee (renewal) is due each January at that club meeting. Membership remains valid for twelve months. Membership perks include select discounts from local businesses for club members in good standing (on presentation of a current valid membership card) plus other membership items. Visitors

Visitors are also welcome to attend meetings for a nominal fee of $5, which may be applied towards membership should they decide to join the club at that meeting.

Vistors (excepting club socials to which members partners are invited) are allowed a maximum of two visits to club meetings.

Exceptions may apply for some meetings; for example a visiting club member from another local club may be allowed extra visits on production of a current and valid membership card for their respective club
